About
Hi, I’m LJ (my real first name), and I’m a speculative fiction writer turned narrative designer for video games.
I love building worlds and creating complex relationships between characters. Contrasting ideologies is the root of conflict, and I aim to explore the nuances of the human experience in how characters relate to each other and the world around them.
An Oregon native, I traded the forest for the beach and live in Los Angeles. I still hike, but now I also play a lot of volleyball. The handsome dog is my bashful, suspicious Jindo-mix named Leon. Once he’s decided you’re not a murderer, he’s unbelievably sweet.
I’m currently pursuing a part time master’s degree in “Narrative Futures” at the University of Edinburgh in their brand new Edinburgh Futures Institute. Once a semester, I visit Scotland to take classes in person. The rest of the time, I’m up at odd hours doing it all virtually with the in-person students.
